Frederiksberg is the area to live in, if you prefere trees andopen spaces, but still want to be close to the old / Inner city. Allthough right next to - and actually almost surrounded by - Copenhagen, Frederiksberg is an independent county with its own mayor, taxes and legislation. While Frederiksberg is widely considered part of Copenhagen, the people who live here do not want to be called Copenhageners. Frederiksberg is an area in its own right, and it is a perfect place for families and people who want less noise, less crowds and less of the feel of being in a big city.
